History Research
The Department of History has elevated to the status of a Research Centre on 14th March 2013.It was inaugurated by Dr.Kumaraguru, Hon.Vice Chancellor, M S University, Tirunelveli. Nearly 24 scholars are pursuing their research under the guidance of four of our faculty members.

She is guiding 4 Ph.D. Scholars. Dr. D. RANI MILA is a recognized Guide in Manonmaniam Sundaranar University. She did her research in Social History. Presently, She is guiding 9 Ph.D. Scholars and one Scholar has been awarded Ph.D Degree. Three of our Faculty Dr. T.A. FEMILA, Dr. V. DIVYA and Dr. N. MARY USHA are also recognized guides in Manonmaniam Sundaranar University. Their areas of expertise are Cultural History, Political History and Social History respectively. |

Dr. D. Rani Mila, M.Sc.,M.Phil., Ph.D | Dr. D. Rani Mila, has been working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of History. She took her Doctoral degree in 2010. Her Research Topic is “Social Upheaval in South Travancore”. She has published seven papers in national and international conferences. She has attended 22 seminars , conferences and workshops. She got her guideship on 06.03.2012. One of her students has been awarded Ph.D degree and Guiding another Ph.D. Scholar at present. She is serving as a Coordinator in the Entrepreneurship Development Cell. |
