Student's Welfare Committee
The Student's council of our college functions with the objectives to provide leadership training and bring out the latent talents of the students and to promote cultural and intellectual co-operation among students. It also strives to develop character, discipline, sense of responsibility, honesty, integrity and efficiency among the students.

Installation Ceremony
Student's Council Installation Ceremony was conducted on 30/10/2023. Mrs. Jeba Jeeva Raja , Assistant Director of Procecution, Kanyakumari District presided over the function. The ceremony started with a prayer by our college chaplain. Dr.R.R.Sheeja, Convenor of students' welfare committee welcomed the gathering. The principal in-charge, Dr. D. Usha gave the presidential address. Adv. Jeba Jeeva Raja gave the chief guest address. She gave a motivational talk and encouraged the student leaders. Then the installation, Oath taking, pinning of the badge and the honouring the members with the sash. Our correspondent Dr.Asir Packia Singh felicitated the student leaders and motivated them. The inaugural function came to an end with vote of thanks by the chair person, Miss G.C.Adithi.
Teachers Day
Teachers Day was celebrated on 05.09.2023. principal in-charge, Dr. D. Usha presided over the function. Chair person Miss. Adithi welcomed the gathering. The teachers were gifted with a rose plant and a pen as a part of the celebration. The Principal in-charge, Students' Council members and Teachers from various departments together celebrated the day by cutting a cake on the stage. Students of our college arranged a variety programme with dance and debate. The programme ended with a National Anthem.
Projects done by the student's council during this academic year
- Women's Day was celebrated with a Food Festival on 07/03/2024. Rs. 73,429 was collected and deposited in the college's fund for the poor.
- Rs.20000 was given to cancer patients in Neyoor International Cancer Institute.
- Rs 1.10 Lakhs was given to the needy students of our college.
Student's Council Day
Student's welfare committee conducted the Valedictory function on 06/04/2024. “Echoes of Experience: Life lessons from Women's Christian College”-A documentary by S. Abinaya and J.J. Leah Selvi George was displayed in the screen. Students of our college arranged variety of programme. The students had a very entertaining day.

Installation Ceremony
Student's Council Installation Ceremony was conducted on 28/10/2022 Dr.D. Vasanthavathy former principal WCC presided over the function. The ceremony started with a prayer song by the college choir. Dr.R.R.Sheeja convenor of student's welfare committee welcomed the gathering. The principal in change Dr.D. Esther gave the presidential address. Dr.D.Vasanthavathy gave the chief guest address. She gave a motivational talk and encouraged the student leaders.Then the installation, Oath taking, pinning of the badge and the honouring the members with the sash. Our correspondent Dr.Asir Packia Sing felicitated the student leaders and motivated them. The inaugural function came to an end with vote of thanks by the chair person Miss.S.S.Supriya.
Projects done by the student's council during this academic year
- To develop an aptitude towards Plant Science and Nature.
- Soft skill training programme for all the final year UG students was conducted on 18/09/2022.
- Rs.20000 was given to cancer patients Neyoor International Cancer Institute on 23/03/2022.
- Rs. 50000 was given to Miss.Saranya of I B.com (Regular).
- Rs. 10000 was given to Miss.Pon Quency of II B.Sc Chemistry.
- Rs. 10000 was given to Miss.Abinsha of III B.A Tamil.
- Rs. 10000 was given to Miss.Sharmila of I B.A Tamil.
Student's Council Day
Student's welfare committee conducted the Valedictory function on 12/04/2023. A cultural program was arranged to entertain the students. The students had a very entertaining day.
