  • The aim of the Placement cell is to provide a platform for our students to interact with schools, colleges, other teaching institutions, banks corporate companies and any other organisation in need of human personnel.


    Keeping in mind the aspirations and career ambitions of the students, the Placement Cell was established in the year 2006 with an aim to train the students and raise their employability.

    The Placement cell provides a platform for interaction between organisations desirous of providing recruitment opportunities and the students who are interested in either part time employment while studying in the college or full time jobs when they graduate from the college.

    Orientation programmes about employment opportunities and the need to enhance skills are given to final year students. Whether they are on a career track, or in the process of determining which career they would like to pursue, the placement cell has training opportunities for final year students of all academic disciplines.

    Institutions and Companies that have recruited from our college in the last few years are SRV Higher Secondary Schools, Rasipuram & Samayapuram, Goan Institute of Communicative English(GICE), Goa & Cochin, White Lake Technologies, Nagercoil, Dreamzone, Nagercoil, WIPRO Technologies for its WASE, WISTA & WIMS programmes, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), UST Global Technopark, Trivandrum, Redegg Info Expert, Nagercoil, A to Z Technologies, Chennai and Bytes Flow Technologies, Chennai.

  • Placement Report 2015 2016

  •     The Placement Cell provides a platform for interaction between organizations desirous of providing recruitment and students interested in part time employment while studying in the college or full time jobs when they graduate from the college.

        Early in the academic year 2015-2016, WIN College, Mumbai recruited students as part-time teachers to teach in their coaching centers in Kanniyakumari District. Students who were selected are: Shoba Jini and Ferushya Jaflin of II M.A. English and Asruthy Alexander of III B.Com. LinuJasly who had just completed her M.A. English in the college was also selected.

        Our regular recruiters SRV group of institutions, Rasipuram & Samayapuram held their campus drive for the post of PG Assistants on 22 February 2016. The 5 selected candidates are: B.J. Reshmi of II PG Physics, G. Thangam of II PG Chemistry, C.D. Celina Stylin & JasbinVinela of PG Maths and N. Christal Aminy of II PG Botany. All selected candidates are given free lodging, an opportunity to pursue their B.Ed while working in the school and a salary of Rs. 18,500/-pm.

        The Goan Institute of Communicative English is another regular recruiter on our campus. In their on-campus drive on 22 February 2016 for the post of Communicative language trainers, Priyanka J and Ajitha R of II PG English, Ashlin Hem, R. Aishwarya, S. Rani Roweina, N.A. Suha, D. AshlinJerusha and J. Anuha of III B.A. English were selected.

        The Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) free employability training programme was held in the campus for the fourth successive year. This social initiative of TCS aims to improve the employability of theunder privileged students of Arts and Science colleges. Mr. Srinath Narayan Mani, Associate Vice President for Affirmative Action and Corporate Social Responsibility addressed students on 28 January 2016. The students enrolled underwent training under a TCS trainer in all aspects of communicative language and Maths and were then tested at an off campus recruitment. The 9 students selected for entry level positions in TCS BPS are: R. Aishwariya and M. Inba Selvi of III B.A. English, S. Indu and P. Ashmi of III B.Sc Physics, R. Iswariya and S. Neetulakshmi of III B.Sc Chemistry, J.C. Abisha and S. Syed Ali Fathima of III B.Sc Maths and K. Arul Selvi of III B. Com.

        The Placement Coordinator congratulates all students who secured jobs through the Cell.
