Career Guidance Cell
The Career Guidance Cell aims its best to cater to the needs of students in the present scenario. It focuses in providing learning and training opportunities in academic, career, personal and social development of our students and moulds them to meet their future challenges. The Cell also organizes workshops and seminars on to enable the all round development of individuals.Eminent resource persons from various sectors and esteemed institutions are invited for providing training to the students.
Objectives
- Facilitate students to identify their own skills, interests and strengths and prepare them to face the challenges of life courageously.
- Create awareness regarding employment opportunities from government and private institutions around the globe.
- Arrange training programs on confidence building, communication skills and personality developments in order to cater the needs of the competitive world.
- Organize pre placement training programmes and conduct diagnostic tests for competitive exams to counsel them for higher studies.
- Enable the students engage themselves usefully during vacation and leisure time.

Career Guidance Cell functions to expose the students to a number of career opportunities and has guided many by unleashing a series of awareness programs during the academic year 2017-2018. It has catered the students need in a wider arena.Shine India Academy (A Training Centre exclusively for women) conducted a program entitled “Career Opportunities After Your Graduation” on 11.07.2017. It was handled by Mr. Anto Xavier. They provided assistance to the students to make themselves aware about the career opportunities they are open to in both Public and Private sector.Tamilnadu Skill Development Corporation along with Employment Office gave an insight about many of the Government schemes and openings related to Skill development on 12.07.2017.Jeyam Academy, another Coaching Institute conducted a programme How to prepare for the competitive examination and what are the strategies to be adopted for the competitive examination on 02.08.2017.A Premier Institute the “Indian Institute of Banking” (A Training Institutions for IAS/IPS, TNPSC, MBA, CAT, ME/MCA, TANCET conducted a career advance programme about what are higher opportunities available in the Banking Sector on 09.08.2017.TNPSC coaching classes and Hindi classes are held regularly on every Saturday and Wednesday which enhances the knowledge of the student to compete in the racing horizons.Ponjesly School of Education conducted an awareness programme for III year Science & Arts students, and PG students on 14.02.2018. A team of dedicated faculty motivated the students about the values and had a high praise for the students of WCC.
